Jump into Aquaboulevard

It was Wonderboy’s birthday, his first in Paris. He didn’t do the obvious, Disney Land – Paris. He wanted a bigger splash. And the best way to do that was to head to France’s largest waterpark, right here in Paris, Aquaboulevard. It’s a great day out with kids in Paris, rain or shine. If you’re in Paris with kids, add this to your list.

What does France’s largest Aquapark have?

Spread over 7,000 m² Aquaboulevard has:

  • 11 giant water slides
  • Wave pool
  • Jacuzzis (couldn’t get the kids out of these)
  • Giant hot tub (couldn’t get myself out of this)
  • Lazy river
  • Beaches with sun loungers (just pretend you’re on the med)
  • Mauritian Beach huts for an extra tropical feel
  • And it’s in Paris, on the Metro

Speedos only

Speedos only

They are very strict about swim wear here in France. Men and boys must wear speedos (it doesn’t to have to be the itty bitty Tom Daley trunks, the Daniel Craig style is fine). If you forget your swimmers, don’t worry, there’s a Decathalon in the complex.

Get the best from your trip

Arriving at Aquaboulevard

Once you’re in you won’t want to leave, your kids won’t want to leave, so here are a few tips to help you get the most out of your day at Aquaboulevard:

  • Arrive early, less queuing for the water slides and you can bag yourself a sun lounger
  • Bring towels, these can’t be hired
  • Children must be over the age of 3 to be admitted, kids under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult
  • You aren’t supposed to bring your own food. The little cafeteria isn’t too bad (baguettes, hot dogs, chicken nuggets all served with chips) but I did spy quite a few families with their own food.
  • And, there’s a 14 screen cinema in the building if you want to stick around

Oh wow so funny to hear they’re specific about what you wear. What a great way to spend a birthday, it sounds like a really huge and fun place. You’d find me on the sun loungers!

Wow, I would have never known about this place! We plan on taking Erin to Paris when she’s a little bit older and I’m sure she’d love this by then. Not sure my husband would be a fan of wearing speedos though.

You must go here when Erin is older, she’d love it. I’m afraid they are really strict on the pool etiquette, but the Daniel Craig look is a whole lot better than then teeny weeny speedos!

It would be worth going just see all the speedos.
