About Tooting Mama

Motherhood crashed into my life when my husband & I adopted our two little people: Wonder Boy & Super Girl.

Since then life has been a roller coaster. I’ve experienced the shock of being a new mum; the thud of reality – this is it, there’s no turning back; to absolute joy of being told “I love you mummy”.

My life has gone from being a DINKY: city breaks, restaurants, hanging out in bars, shopping for clothes, hand bags and shoes to the school run, homework, packed lunches, shopping for uniform, bedtime stories, SpongeBob SquarePants and mugging up on my little pony.

My fridge was famed for being empty save for a couple of bottles of champagne. Now I swear by my Ocado app which keeps my fridge fully fridge stocked. Amazing, I can do the weekly shop and watch the Good Wife!

I used to spin, body pump, and run twice weekly in Hyde Park.  I now run round Tooting Common with a fabulous bunch of mums.

Adoption is simultaneously an amazing, enriching and challenging experience. It’s changed my life in so many ways. All for the better.

This blog is about me, my life with Wonder Boy, Super Girl and King of the Mountains (the husband).

This blog is about bringing up adopted children, the support they need, and to share my experience with others.

The next chapter of our story has begun: We have relocated to Paris.
